incTANK invests in seed-stage technology start-ups, often as the first institutional investor. We focus on venture start-ups in the computational sciences, life sciences and material sciences, with particular interest in crossover technologies among these areas.
Our initial funding ranges between $250,000 and $1 million, with a reserve for follow-on investments. Our support is intended to bring portfolio companies to the point where they become viable investments for Series B investors. This usually requires a degree of technical and market validation that may not exist at the early-stage.
incTANK’s due diligence review looks at several key points, including market potential, technology, and team. Since incTANK operates at the early-stage, we do not expect a start-up to have all of the critical elements of a more mature company. In addition to reviewing our existing portfolio, however, a company should consider the following investment criteria before approaching us.
